Well my first attempt at trying to make a thank you card using stamps. I don't think the card turned out too badly but I think some better photos are required. I used clear ink for the horse's head and then used copper embossing powder over the image. This was my first time using Embossing powder. I used Silver ink for 'See Dees' Thank You stamp. The backing paper was a free gift with a magazine. I had some self adhesive gems laying around which I added round the sentiment and found an off cut of ribbon to add across the corner.

Currently I am stamping out some other images so I can play around with my Aqua Promarkers and watercolour pencils I have not used either before and I am looking forward to experimenting with them and having a general play around.

  2. Thanks for your comment :0) Decided to have a go at card making as while in hospital someone brought in a card making magazine and thought I would have a go. I got thrown off a horse at the end of Jan. I broke my Fib and Tib in left leg in three places I have had a metal external fixator on for 12 weeks and I will be in a leg cast for anywhere up to another 12 weeks minimum.

Im glad I have found something I can do from a tray on my lap as I can not get my leg under any of the desks here.

Its taken so long from reading the mag to making the card as the craft shop is a fair trek from where I live and I did not fancy going out with metal pins sticking out my leg so was finally able to go spending when they put mt into a leg cast.

  4. ouch!I broke my leg too, but not from falling off my pony, (which I had back then) I got knocked off my motor bike! (which I also had way back then!) You've made a great start with your first card! My first card was never seen by anyone, except the bin! Card making is a great healer, it gets you thinking about other things and, it's very addictive! Thank you for following. I'll put a link in my next post! Have a good crafty rest of the day!
