Penny Black Week 199 and Sketch Saturday week205

This card is yet another mutli entry for Penny Black Challenge week 199 and also Sketch Saturday Week 205

The Penny black Challenge was May Day (Spring themed cards) I used these two hedgehogs together from one of the birthday stamp clear sets I have as I seem to be lacking stamps that I would class as "Spring". The backing papers are from My Minds Eye Spring Paper collections and one of the sheets is from the My Minds Eye Summer paper collection. The images was stamped in versa fine ink and coloured with my trusty watercolour pencils. I then found my distressed peel paint ink pad and dabbed on the grass and broken china dabbed on gave the sky. I also managed to use my crop a dile (I actually forgot I had one) to add the brads to the bottom right of the cards. The final thing was to stamp the greeting in black. I ended up deciding on black for the greeting as I felt it was the only ink I had that would stand out from the lively backing papers.

Less is More Week 65 Sketch

Really would like to know where my weekends disappear off to as I never seem to get as much as I would like done but Im always busy?

I did manage to cram a small bit of card making in admittedly it was for three of the weekly challenges but its still card making just the same.

So without further ado my entry for the less is more Week 65 Sketch

Yet again the tree stamps from the Kaban sets hopped out onto the table  and were put to goo use. This particular stamp is from the Autumn silhouette set and the sentiment is from the Spring silhouette set. The image and sentiment were stamped using versa colours Sky Mist. I really seem to have a thing for these stamp sets and this colour ink at the moment. They just go  so well together and are fab for doing simple stamped cards.

No Patterned Paper and a Sketch

Wow where has this week gone can not believe it is Sunday already and have a load of stuff to do befoer work next week and not enough time. I did force myself to sit down this morning and work on a card that hopefully will be eligble for two challenges this week firstly Penny Black Challenge Week 198  No Patterned Paper and Sketch Saturday Week 204

The image is from Penny Black's Have a Micey Nice Day stamp set which is a new purchase it was a great find on eBay :0) The image was coloured using my watercolour pencils as Im still finding the Promarkers too stark to use on these lovely images they seem to overpower them even the water promarkers I have.
The plain paper are some oddments I had left over from a card making day at the local craft store a few years ago. The final touch was to add some stick on blue gems which I honestly can not remember buying

Spots,Stripes and Sketch

My next card creation of today I have made with two challenges in mind, the first being Penny Black Saturday Challenge week 197 - Spots and Stripes.

The image is from the Todily Happy clear stamp set which I bought a fair while ago but it has had very little use. The Birthday Wishes greeting I believe was part of a free stamp set from a magazine. The images were coloured using water colour pencils as I thought the promarkers might be a bit too loud against the background colours I had picked. Once it was all dried out the Cuttlebug came out to cut the circles the final thing I decided to do was to colour the edges with some Tim Holtz distressed ink Im not sure why but the white edges of the circles really didnt go well. Adding the bit of colour to them seems to have helped.

The blue polka dot paper came from the Craft House Polka dot pad set, the black polka dot paper and orange striped paper wa sin the spare offcuts box and I can not for the life of me remember where they came from. The other striped paper was again from the left over box but I seem to remember/think this was from the My Minds Eye Spring pad set.

The second challenge Im putting this card in for is the Sketch Saturday week 203 challenge

Week 63 One Layer 'Less Is More' entry

Wow long time no blog on my card production. Starting off today with one I made for the Less Is More
Week 63 One Layer challenge

I opted for a very simple card as the Challenge was 'Doodles' something on the card had to have been done my me freehand in ink. Now as I am really rubish at drawing I opted to handwrite a greeting on the card (you can probably gather from the pics my handwritiing leaves something to be desired aswell)

The stamp I used was from the Kaban Spring Silouettes its the largest tree stamp on that set so it was a bit touch and go if I could get it to fit on the card, well as you can see it did fit. After a hunt through my ink pads I opted to use Sky Mist Versa Ink to stamp the tree image. The greeting was written by moi in Cornflower Promarker

Wow very productive few days

Well I actually managed to have a few very productive days over Easter. I got some jewellery making and cardmaking done.

Im doing a homemade Christmas this year so got cracking with the Jewellery making some bracelet and earring sets for family

I fancied doing a nice simple design and dug out my cupcake stamps again.
The next one has not got the main design on as yet as the ink and promarkers are drying out and I waiting for some nestibilities to arrive so I can do a fancy oval cut out.

In other news I took part in a beginners knitting class on Friday night and I really enjoyed it. Ive enjoyed it that much Ive decided to keep it up Im starting off easy just a scarf for a Christmas present and I really want to find a way to incorporate knitting into my card making (and jewellery making for that matter) once I get the hang of it
